Ten editions in, eyeing for more!

We are proud to dedicate the tenth edition of Tour of Oman to sports enthusiasts all over the world.

Every edition of the Tour of Oman is a unique event. The one awaiting the pedalling stars in February 2019 is even more special as some of the best race champions will take part in the event.

On the seaside, through the desert or from the heights of the iconic Green Mountain in Jabal al Akdhar, riders will once again enjoy diverse and spectacular landscape to display their talents and make the most of the warm welcome Oman extends to them. Another hard week of racing will once again show the terrain of Oman can only crown true champions. The first winner, the quadruple winner of Paris-Roubaix Fabian Cancellara, has paved the way for other greats of this generation of Tour de France winners like Chris Froome and Vincenzo Nibali to establish Tour of Oman as an internationally acclaimed event.

Sultanate of Oman is proud to welcome these champions. We are hopeful that the tenth edition of the Tour of Oman will project Oman as a beautiful destination for tourists from around the world. The race in 2019 will traverse from corniche to corniche. The Sohar corniche will bring riders to unknown territories to cap off the first stage. And the Matrah corniche will once again see riders give their final push for glory at the end of the week. Will Alexander Kristoff rule again? A new decade of conquests lies ahead of the Norwegian star and his rivals.

I wish all the success to all the competitors and officials of Tour of Oman. I am sure champion cyclists from around the world will continue to inspire the youths of Oman to consider cycling as a competitive sport.
